Our modular approach to enzyme development allows us to cooperate with our customers in a meaningful and effective way. In the screening phase, we commence initial screening of potential enzymes and process conditions. This takes up to 3 months. Before moving into the second phase, the best candidates for the customer’s process are carefully inspected and different options for the production discussed.
The following genetic engineering phase includes genetic engineering of the most promising enzyme or strains and scaling up production. The second phase takes from 6 to 12 months, and its cost is affected by selections on the manufacturing site as well as ownership and user rights of the developed solutions.
