MetZyme® FORICO™ is a product family offering novel tools for industrial water treatment and effluent control.
FORICO™ solutions are based on combination of neutralizing harmful chemicals, breaking lignin network, and polymerizing soluble phenolic compounds. These actions reduce inhibitors and leave nutrients better available for microbial processes.
One of the best-liked FORICO™ family members utilize a new high-performance catalase designed to remove residual peroxide from product or production side streams.
Another bespoke FORICO™ addresses the soluble lignin, phenolic compounds and micro-pollutants in the water streams. If left unhandled, these inhibitors have shown to dramatically decrease the effectiveness of related microbiological process. For example, 100 – 200 mg/L phenolic content in waste water may reduce the waste water treatment plant aerobic reactor capacity by 20%.
Residual chemicals, such as peroxide, and soluble lignin are harmful inhibitors for any microbiological processes.
