MetGen is named in the prestigious 2013 Global Cleantech 100 list that recognizes the world’s top cleantech companies most likely to make the biggest market impact over the next 5-10 years.
The list is produced by Cleantech Group, a global market intelligence and consulting firm helping executives connect with cleantech innovation.
“It has been an exciting year for our company. We completed an investment round with some of the leading investors in our industry; we improved the performance of our enzymes significantly and have completed industrial trials with various partners. Today’s Global Cleantech 100 announcement confirms that we address unmet industry needs and that we are on the right track,” said Alex Michine, CEO of Metgen.
The 2013 Global Cleantech 100 is derived from Cleantech Group’s own data and research, combined with the weighted qualitative judgments of hundreds of nominations, and the viewpoints of a global 90-person Expert Panel. To qualify for the list, companies must be independent, profitable, cleantech companies that are not listed on any major stock exchange.
“This list celebrates inspiring entrepreneurs, and serves as the industry standard on gauging where innovation is headed across key sectors,” says Sheeraz Haji, CEO of Cleantech Group.
5,864 companies were nominated this year from 60 countries. These companies were weighted and scored to create a shortlist of 300 companies, with the best 100 companies from 18 countries making the cut to the final list.
